Our Adult Formation program will begin again with the Lenten Series of discussions on Social Justice.
We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am - 10:15 am (between worship services). Anyone is welcome, including youth.
Sunday Morning Lenten Series on Social Justice
During Lent this year Martha Liska will facilitate an opportunity to focus on the topic of social justice. Participants will use the book, The Social Justice Bible Challenge, as a Lenten discipline of Bible reading and meditation.
The Sunday “classes” will begin on Sunday, February 11th and continue for seven weeks ending on Sunday, March 25th, Palm Sunday.
During our Sunday gatherings, we will discuss the week’s seven daily “challenges” and be able to share together our concerns and support and encouragement for being God’s current day disciples in the world of today.
During the first session we will learn about the disciplines of Lent, receive our books and a schedule of the series sessions. And we will have the opportunity to get acquainted with each other and to name our hopes.
Do consider participating in this worthwhile Lenten time study. The sessions will meet at 9:15AM and end at 10:15AM. There is a participant sign-up sheet on the counter in the hall; please sign-up so Fr. Ed knows how many books to order.
