Rest in Peace: Carolyn Baldwin (1943-2026)

Long-time parishioner, Carolyn Baldwin, has passed.  Her celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church in Mansfield, TX.  Her obituary is printed below.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Carolyn Baldwin, who peacefully departed this life at the age of 83 on June 20, 2026.

Carolyn had an incredible life, travelling the world first as a flight attendant and later in life with friends and family. She was blessed to enjoy her two stepsons, Ty and JT, her four nieces, her nine grandchildren, and countless friends. Carolyn never met an animal she didn't adore, and shared her life with her animals, which she considered her children.

Carolyn was born on June 8th,1943, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Dorothy and Foster Forbes. Her brother Thomas was excited to have a little sister, and they had a close relationship until his passing in 2012.

Carolyn was not only an avid traveler but also a licensed pilot, following in the footsteps of her father, mother, brother, and husband. Carolyn was beautiful both inside and out and was so funny and sarcastic. She was so very loved and lived a long, happy, and successful life.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Baldwin; her mother, Dorothy Forbes; her father, Foster Pierce Forbes; her brother Thomas Forbes; her niece Molly Kathleen Forbes; and her stepson John Thomas Baldwin, along with numerous furry friends.

Carolyn's faith was unwavering, and she left us knowing she was going to heaven to be with her savior.
