Outdoor Work Party: Saturday, Sept 6, 9:00-Noon

We are opening up our space and enjoying the discovery of the wonderful plantings we have in place.

Saturday, Sept. 6th  9 am to noon we will have a work party with the focus on cleaning up our Columbarium area in preparations for All Saints Day. Norman and I removed a number of dead limbs from the evergreens and I have started to trim back our huge privet bushes and our leggy Rhody's.  We will have a trailer to load yard waste into, lots of needles to shovel and blow and maybe some pressure washing.  We are also needing to move the retaining wall on the south side of the building in preparation for the sewer connection project ( we plan to reuse the concrete blocks and want to protect them from heavy machinery in the interim). If we have a great turnout of volunteers, there is always more beds needing to be weeded and prepped for updated plantings.

I am working on a master plan to show the possibilities available as we embrace the stewardship of our natural surroundings.

Norman needs some volunteers to create the base for our new monument sign which should be delivered the next week. A framework needs to be installed and crushed rock compressed within the framework.

Spence will provide lunch and we can enjoy our fellowship.
