Once again, NOW - Thurston County is participating in this exciting event hosted by Zonta!

NOW - Thurston County's event is on December 8th, at Safeplace from 1pm to 3:30pm, with Special Guest Speaker Gilda Yazzie!

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence in the World of Work

Our Chapter is participating in the 16 Days of Activism Campaign called by Zonta of South Puget Sound, running from November 25th to December 10th 2018. This year, their theme is further refined as activism against gender-based violence in the world of work. We are excited to let you know we have plans to bring NOW's National Vice-President Gilda Yazzie here to speak on Saturday December 8th and in the culminating event at the Capitol in December 10th!

This year's 16 Days of Activism goals are:

* Educate – inform the public about GBV is and its social, economic, and political impacts

* Engage – facilitate opportunities for individuals to participate in a dialogue about GBV by featuring speakers and events throughout the 16 Days (Nov 25 – Dec 10)

* Empower – offer tools and resources about GBV in order to promote an equal, just, and safe society – locally and globally

Venue for event is the Columbia Room, unless otherwise noted.*

Columbia Room is located in the Legislative Building, 1st Floor.
